Let’s take a look at the player ratings from the Group B FIFA Women’s World Cup match at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.

Canada and Australia faced off in a battle to secure their place in the knockout rounds of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Monday.

Australia headed to Melbourne sitting in third place in Group B. The tournament co-hosts sat one point behind Canada, who held the second position. But all that changed by the end of the game, as the Matildas sailed their way through as group winners with a crushing 4-0 victory.

Haley Raso opened the scoreline with a ninth-minute goal for Australia. Canada never really recovered after that, and the Matildas made sure of it. They scored not once, but three more goals to send the Maple Leafs packing.

Raso scored her second goal six minutes from the break to hand Australia a two-goal lead. Mary Fowler and Stephanie Catley later bagged second-half goals to seal an utterly dominant victory in Melbourne.
