Gravenberch saves the day! ⚽
Ajax came into the match on the back of another 3-2 win, where a last-minute goal from Dusan Tadic won the three points against Waalwijk.
The match started with Ajax taking control of the possession while trying to find a quick breakthrough. It took Tadic only three minutes to break the deadlock at the Cambuur Stadion.
Ajax continued attacking to increase their lead throughout the first half. Eventually, Ryan Gravenberch provided a perfect assist for Sebastian Haller, who made it 2-0 five minutes before the interval.
It seemed that Ajax had already secured an easy win, but the hosts displayed a much-improved performance in the second half.
Issa Kalon scored Cambuur’s first goal only three minutes after the interval. Ajax tried to maintain their control over the game and restore their two-goal lead.
However, their opponents clinched a well-deserved equalizer in the 79th minute. Similar to the game against Waalwijk, Erik ten Hag’s side went all-in with their attacks in the final ten minutes.

On the other hand, Cambuur can rest for more than a week before meeting Go Ahead Eagles next Saturday.
