The Los Blancos summer signing discussed his playing style and what his best position is while speaking to the club media.
Eduardo Camavinga insists he’s willing to “adapt to every style of play and the position” in order to fit in at Real Madrid.
Camavinga completed a deadline day switch from Rennes to Real Madrid, putting pen to paper on a six-year contract with his new club.
One of the most exciting and highly-rated talents in world football, the 18-year-old midfielder is expected to be a backup to Casemiro, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric initially and eventually push for a place in the starting XI.
“I really like to play in front of the defence,” Camavinga said during his first press conference as a Real Madrid player.
“I must also adapt to every style of play and the position that the coach asks me to play. I will give everything in whatever position I play. It’s not that I resemble any one player. I like to play football.
“I don’t know if it’s more important to play as a defensive midfielder or further up the pitch. I like to play in midfield.”
Asked if he’s ready to feature in Real Madrid’s La Liga outing against Celta Vigo on the weekend, Camavinga replied: “The coach will decide, but I’m ready to play.”
