Eduardo Camavinga is one of the top young prospects in the world of football and is backed to become the best.

Eduardo Camavinga will become “the best midfielder in the world” as per his agent Jonathan Barnett. Moreover, he also said that the Rennes youngster would cost any suitor more than €50 million.

Many have hailed the 18-year-old as one of the growing young talents in the footballing world. In fact, according to his agent, he would only make a move away from Ligue 1 for specific clubs his choice. These include Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona along with a few others.

Camavinga was born in Angola, however, made his senior France national team debut in 2020. And the teenager is expected to look for a new destination this year during the summer transfer window.

“At the moment, he’s a Rennes player,” Barnett exclusively told Goal. “He likes Rennes and, at the moment, we haven´t really taken to other clubs. It isn’t our position.

“Let’s see what happens later on, but he’s doing well in Rennes and that’s fine. Being the best midfielder in the world, that’s how I see his future, [with] a lot of medals and a lot of trophies.”

Furthermore, Barnett mentioned that Los Blancos remains a favourite target for Camavinga and that they would want a lump sum of money. “[Madrid are] a great club, a great club to play for,” he added. “Eduardo will have a choice of a lot of clubs if Rennes decides to release him. They will be one of the four of five clubs in the world he might go to.

“Eduardo would love to play for a top club. Madrid are one of those top clubs in the world, so are Barcelona.”

Barnett was asked if Camavinga would cost more than €50 million. He said: “I would think so.”
