Check out our section of betting predictions for the upcoming weekend as Ace Football previews matchday 25 of the 2021/22 Bundesliga season.
Another exciting weekend of football awaits as we go through our latest series of Bundesliga predictions.
Nothing is guaranteed anywhere. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are locked in another title battle. Six points lie between the six teams chasing a top-four spot, and the battle for survival is far from over from the league table.
So ahead of the latest round of fixtures, Ace Football offers betting and accumulator tips as part of its weekly Bundesliga predictions.
🗓️ Friday, March 4
Arminia Bielefeld vs Augsburg
Both clubs don’t score a lot of goals and have failed to score more than once against each other in their last three meetings. Their previous encounter ended in a 1-1 draw last October. Before then, they drew 0-0 in April 2021 before Augsburg grabbed a slender 1-0 victory in December 2020.
Verdict: Under 2.5 goals
🗓️ Saturday, March 5
Wolfsburg vs Union Berlin
Wolfsburg have been a bit out of sorts lately at home. Florian Kohfeldt’s side have won just two of their last 10 league games at the Volkswagen Arena (D2 L6), averaging 1.1 goals and keeping just two clean sheets.
Union Berlin, meanwhile, have seen BTTS in nine of their last 13 away league games.
Verdict: BTTS
VfL Bochum vs Furth
11 defeats and one draw in 12 games on the road this season says it all for Greuther Fuerth. The rock-bottom visitors have also conceded 44 goals away from home – exactly 3.7 goals on average – and seen BTTS 10 times.
In contrast, Bochum usually keep things tight. So we’re backing a home win here. And to sweeten the deal, we’ll add Over 2.5 goals to the mix.
Verdict: Bochum to win & Over 2.5 goals
Hertha vs Eintracht Frankfurt
Both teams enter the contest on losing streaks, making them desperate to get back to winning ways. Given their leaky defensive records, and the fact BTTS occurred in each of their last five meetings, we’re backing both teams to find the back of the net again in their latest encounter.
Verdict: BTTS
Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen have been solid on the road this season, but can they take the fight to Bayern in Munich? Given Bayern’s strong home record, we expect the Bavarians to prevail. But with both sides scoring freely, goals can be expected as well.
Verdict: Bayern Munich to win & Over 2.5 goals
RB Leipzig vs SC Freiburg
Fourth meets fifth, as Leipzig and Freiburg meet in what looks like a fairly evenly matched tie. Both sides are level on 40 points and have won their last two games. With a Champions League spot at stake, this match is crucial for each team’s respective campaigns.
We expect it to be close, but think Leipzig have enough in the tank to edge Freiburg.
Verdict: RB Leipzig to win
VfB Stuttgart vs Borussia Monchengladbach
Gladbach are a bit all over the place at the moment. The visitors have won just one of their last six league games, scoring eight times while conceding 15 times. This could open the door for a spectacle here.
With relegation looming, Stuttgart are desperate for points and we feel there is value in backing the home side to holding Gladbach to a draw here.
Verdict: Draw
🗓️ Sunday, March 6
Mainz vs Borussia Dortmund
Mainz have been solid at home this season, winning eight of their 12 matches (D3 L1). They’ve scored 24 goals and conceded just seven times, keeping a respectable seven clean sheets.
If the likes of Erling Haaland and Marco Reus are absent again, Dortmund will have their work cut out. BVB are almost 50/50 on the road this season, claiming six wins and four defeats in 12 away games (D2). But if there is one thing they never lack its goals, which we feel is the safer route.
Verdict: Over 2.5 goals
FC Koln vs Hoffenheim
This is a match that could go either way. Hoffenheim are looking good at the moment with three wins on the bounce. The visitors have also won their seven Bundesliga games against Koln in a row, making us favor them to come up with the goods again this weekend.
Verdict: Hoffenheim to win
