Bruno Fernandes has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for December, setting a unique record.
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has won his second consecutive Premier League Player of the Month award, being named the best footballer in the league for December.
Since his move to England last January, this has been the fourth such award for the “Portuguese magnifico”.
This makes him the only player to take home the Premier League POTM honors four times in one calendar year.
Bruno made six Premier League appearances in December, noting three goals and four assists.
He helped Manchester United climb up to the top of the league standings for the first time at this point of the season since 2013.
“Three goals and four assists was a complete month,” Bruno Fernandes said for the Premier League official website.
“Scoring and assisting your team-mates is perfect. I want to achieve other trophies and awards but I’m really happy to make history.”
This could be a big push for Bruno and his teammates ahead of the “game of the season” against Liverpool next Sunday.
