The Manchester United midfielder has named the player he would always want on his team.

Bruno Fernandes has revealed he would love to play alongside Barcelona winger Raphinha again.

The pair were teammates at Sporting CP for one year until Raphinha joined Rennes in 2019. They shared the pitch 39 times, helping the Portuguese club win the Taça de Portugal and Taça de Liga titles.

It’s been three years since that memorable campaign, but while a lot has changed for both players, Fernandes would still love to link up with Raphinha one day.

“So many. Raphinha, who is now at Barcelona, would be one,” the Manchester United star told The Athletic on which player he would always want on his team.

“The chemistry between me and him was really good. I didn’t play with him for a long time at Sporting, but I felt he was a teammate who would give everything for me.”

Raphinha left Premier League side Leeds in the summer for a €58 million move to Barcelona.

The 26-year-old has been in and out of the Barca squad since his arrival, starting just six of the club’s 14 league games with two goals and two assists to his name.
