Liverpool drew 2-2 with Brighton in their Premier League game on Sunday. A four-goal thriller saw the Seagulls escape the home defeat with a late equalizer.
What happened?
Liverpool struggled to find their feet in the game early on as Brighton pushed for the opener. The hosts’ efforts finally paid off when Simon Adingra smashed a low shot behind Alisson Becker to make it 1-0 in the 20th minute.
The Reds managed to establish their dominance as the first half went on. Two goals from Mohamed Salah saw Liverpool complete a comeback before the break.
First, the Egyptian star converted a short pass from Darwin Nunez inside the box to make it 1-1. He then put the visitors ahead by converting a penalty in the 45th minute.
Liverpool started the second half on a brilliant note, putting Brighton under pressure to double their lead. However, they had no luck in converting their chances as Brighton managed to slowly regain attacking momentum in the final 20 minutes of the game.
Solly March’s free-kick across the box was nodded into the back of the net by Lewis Dunk in the 78th minute as Brighton came back into the game. Liverpool pushed hard to restore their lead in the final ten minutes but had to settle for the 2-2 draw.

Salah made a fantastic display for the Reds as they drew 2-2 with Brighton. The Egypt international scored twice to complete the Reds’ first-half comeback, but Liverpool failed to hold onto their lead in the second period.
