The Leicester City boss has emerged among Man United’s candidates to replace Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

Manchester United have reportedly started their search to find a successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. A run of bad results and underwhelming performances have increased the pressure on the Norwegian boss to a breaking point.

The uncertainty around Solskjaer’s future has led to speculations around the club’s potential move for a new manager. Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has emerged as a candidate for the job in recent days. A few sources have gone as far as claiming he will accept the job in case of an offer.

In a pre-match interview before his side’s upcoming game against Chelsea, Rodgers reacted to the reports around his future.

“Firstly, it’s really disrespectful for you to ask the question when there is a manager in place at the club,” Rodgers told reporters (via Sky Sports).

“Secondly, I can’t comment on it because it’s not real. I’m proud to be here at Leicester City.

“The only thing I’m thinking about is [facing] Chelsea and getting ready for that.

“It’s frustrating for supporters and my players, but from a personal perspective, it’s something that it’s in the modern game, but something I have no focus on whatsoever.”

Manchester United are struggling to find a replacement for Solskjaer. The club might continue with the Norwegian until the end of the season while they continue searching for a successor.
