Luis Suarez has reportedly agreed to swap Barcelona for Juventus after being informed by Ronald Koeman that his services are no longer needed.

After enjoying a trophy-laden seven-year spell at Barcelona, Luis Suarez is set to move on in the summer and link up with Lionel Messi’s arch-nemesis Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.

The Catalan side will reportedly pay off the Uruguayan striker’s annual salary as part of their efforts to cut ties with him before the transfer deadline passes.

Happy to be given his one-year wages in advance, the 33-year-old striker has already agreed to replace La Liga struggles with the Serie A juggernaut, says Guillem Balague [via Daily Mail].

Suarez joined Barcelona from Liverpool in a massive deal worth £74million back in 2014.

He’s since been an integral part of the club’s tremendous domestic and international success, forming up a formidable attacking partnership with Leo Messi.

Suarez accrued 198 goals in 283 appearances to gain a prominent place in Barcelona’s history books.

It remains to be seen whether Suarez can the same connection with Messi’s counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo.

There’s no doubt he’ll bring a new dimension to Juventus’ attack. The Bianconeri lacked a top-class striker last season due to Gonzalo Higuain’s notable dip in form.

Andrea Pirlo has, therefore, cast off the Argentinean and replaced him with an upgraded option.

Suarez should help bring a long-awaited Champions League title back to Turin having wrapped up the prestigious title with Barca in 2014/15.
