Ronaldo has received a lifetime achievement after gaining more votes than Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski.

Cristiano Ronaldo has won the 18th edition of the Golden Foot Award that distinguishes active players over the age of 28.

The Juventus star gained more votes than the other 9 players included in the shortlist such as his teammate Giorgio Chiellini. The other nominees were Messi, Lewandowski, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, Sergio Aguero, Gerard Pique, Salah, and Arturo Vidal.

The Portuguese forward succeeds Luka Modric, who won last year’s edition of the Golden Foot Award.

According to Football Italia, the Bianconeri’s President Andrea Agnelli was awarded the first edition of the Golden Foot Prestige. Unlike the star’s award, this honor is chosen by international media representatives.

This recognition comes only a few days after the player’s Globe Soccer’s Player of the Century nomination.
