The Red Devils are confident they can close a deal for Antony in the coming days.

Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Ajax over the transfer of Antony.

The Red Devils have pursued a deal for the Brazilian star since the start of the summer transfer window.

Ajax have so far rejected three formal bids from United so far, insisting on their record valuation for the player.

Following a declined €90m offer from United, it seems the club have finally decided to meet Ajax’s demands.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have reached an agreement over a €100m transfer for Antony.

The Sky Sports journalist claims the Red Devils are confident they can complete the move in the ‘next hours’.

Antony opened up on his decision to join Man Utd in an interview on Friday.

“I’m not asking to release me.” Antony told Romano. “I’m asking Ajax to sell me as the highest bid received by a player who plays in the Eredivisie in history.

“I’ve been insisting on this term since February so that the club could rebuild the team with peace of mind.

“I was very happy in Amsterdam. I won titles, made friends and built a part of my career. But now I reinforce that I’m ready and full of motivations to follow my story and my dreams.”
