The Blues striker will re-join the Nerazzurri only a season after leaving the club.

Romelu Lukaku is on the verge of securing a loan move to Inter.

A £97.5m move last summer saw the Belgian striker return to Chelsea after winning the Scudetto with Inter. However, his uninspiring season under Thomas Tuchel has led to an early departure from the London side.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Inter have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Lukaku on a loan deal this summer.

The Sky Sports journalist claims Inter have re-signed Lukaku on a loan deal until June 2023. The Italian giants will pay an €8 fee plus add-ons, but there’s no option to buy in the contract.

The move will become Chelsea’s first major transfer under the new owners. Todd Boehly’s club are yet to sign a player this summer, despite the Blues’ problems in several areas of the pitch.

Chelsea saw Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leave the club earlier this summer. Cesar Azpilicueta is also on the verge of leaving the club.

The Blues are reportedly eyeing Sevilla’s Jules Kounde as their first-priority signing in defence, while Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol and Lens’ Jonathan Clauss are also on their radar.

The departure of Lukaku will most likely force the Blues to consider attacking recruitments this summer.

According to the Sun, Chelsea are keen to sign Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic. However, Bayern Munich, West Ham and RB Leipzig are also in the race for the 24-year-old striker.
