Atalanta and Lokomotiv Moscow have reached an agreement for the transfer of attacking midfielder Aleksei Miranchuk.
Champions League quarter-finalists, Atalanta are on the verge of completing the signing of Aleksei Miranchuk worth €14.5 million.
“Lokomotiv and Atalanta have reached an agreement in principle on the transfer of Aleksei Miranchuk to the Italian club, pending a medical,” read the statement issued from the Russian club.
“I want to thank all the Lokomotiv fans,” Miranchuk said via Football Italia.
“I became a professional football player and a man with you here. We won everything together. I want to thank everyone for being there for me during good times and bad.
“It’s now time for me to follow my dream, but this is not goodbye, it is a see you soon!”
Aleksei Miranchuk spent seven years at Lokomotiv, winning the Russian Premier League in 2018.
The 2019-20 campaign was his best on individual level, as he managed to score 16 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions. Two of those goals came against Italian champions Juventus in the Champions League Group D last autumn.
