In a football landscape dominated by the eternal debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Endrick has revealed his favorite player.

Brazilian prodigy Endrick has made his preference for Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi clear.

Set to join Ronaldo’s former club, Real Madrid, when he turns 18 in July 2024, Endrick currently plies his trade for Palmeiras in Brazil.

This 17-year-old talent is expected to face Messi for the first time in a World Cup qualifier between Brazil and Argentina at the Maracana on Tuesday.

“Messi is a great player, but I’m more of a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo,” Endrick said at a press conference on Sunday.

While acknowledging Messi’s phenomenal abilities and recognizing him as the “best in the world again,” Endrick’s excitement for the upcoming match was palpable.

“I just want to enjoy the moment of being able to play against him, being in the same stadium as him, looking at him up close. I only saw him in video games. Now I’m seeing Messi up close; it’s going to be wonderful,” he exclaimed.

This season, Endrick has managed 12 goals and one assist in 49 appearances for Palmeiras in all competitions. He earned his first cap for the Brazilian senior team in last week’s 2-1 loss to Colombia.
