Brahim Diaz will soon complete his loan move from Real Madrid to AC Milan, with only medicals and the announcement left to formalize the deal.

Diaz joined Real Madrid from Manchester City in January 2019 for a reported fee of €17million.

A year and a half on, the Spaniard is set to move on, seeking a regular first-team action.

Diaz found himself on the fringes of Zinedine Zidane’s squad last season, failing to record a single La Liga start.

Zidane won’t stand in the way of the youngster’s development, though, and has already agreed to send him out on a dry loan to AC Milan.

The deal between the clubs has already been made, with the 21-year-old forward recently landing at the Malpensa airport.

According to Football Italia, Diaz is on his way to reaching the La Madonnina clinic before undergoing his medicals.

Despite failing to include a buyout clause in the deal, the Rossoneri will look to reopen talks with Real Madrid if the young forward meets expectations.

Diaz will have to compete with the likes of Ante Rebic, Samu Castillejo, and Rafael Leao for a place in Stefano Pioli’s starting eleven.

But, his versatility may also see him play understudy to Hakan Calhanoglu, who underwent quite a renaissance at the San Siro.

Milan are also on the brink of snapping up in-demand Sandro Tonali from Brescia, after finding an agreement with both player and the club.

In addition to the Italian starlet, the out-of-favor Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has also been named as a potential target.

The 26-year-old Frenchman enjoyed a prolific loan spell in Lombardy in 2018/19 and is keen to evoke the memories by reuniting with the Serie A heavyweights.
