The Black and Yellows have added another highly-rated striker to their ranks ahead of the next season.

Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Sebastian Haller from Ajax.

The Ivorian striker joins the Bundesliga giants on a four-year deal, with Dortmund reportedly paying €36m to secure his services.

Haaland joins Dortmund after the departure of Erling Haaland, which saw him move to Manchester City to continue his career.

The Black and Yellows add Haller to another exciting signing, Karim Adeyemi, who joined them earlier this summer.

Dortmund’s new sports director Sebastian Kehl said: “We are very pleased that we were able to sign Sebastien Haller.

“He is a seasoned center-forward who recently caused a sensation in the Champions League, but who also knows the Bundesliga in particular and has already proven his class and high finishing quality there.

“The overall package is very promising. Sebastien has a high level of physical presence and is also very resilient physically. With his experience, he can give our young players support and stability on the offensive. In the talks with us, he made it clear that he would like to achieve something with BVB.”

Haller played for Eintracht Frankfurt before joining West Ham in 2019.  After an underwhelming spell at the London Stadium, the Frenchman went on to regain his best form under Erik ten Hag at Ajax.

The new Dortmund star scored 11 goals in his eight Champions League appearances for Ajax last season. He also topped the goalscoring charts at Eredivisie with 21 goals in his 31 appearances for the league winners.
