The Red Devils have confirmed the news via their official website. However, Anthony Martial is not yet ready to return after suffering a knock in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie.
“David de Gea is back in the squad after taking paternity leave to witness the birth of his first child, while Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek return to bolster our midfield flexibility,” the club’s official statement read.
“Edinson Cavani is also available for selection once again, though Anthony Martial has not overcome the injury he picked up in the first leg.”
Given United’s recent struggle for goals, the return of Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani in particular would come as a breath of fresh air for Ole Solskjaer.
The Red Devils need to be at their best in Italy, with the tie against Milan still hanging in the balance.
A crucial away goal would be well on the priority list for United and Cavani would be eager to make a good account of himself on his return. The Uruguayan is also well familiar with the Rossoneri, having bagged a couple of goals against them during his time in the Serie A at Napoli.
