The Tottenham talisman has been a standout performer for the Three Lions in the knockout stages of Euro 2020.
Leonardo Bonucci has revealed Italy’s plan to deal with “one of the best strikers in the world” Harry Kane in the upcoming showdown with England.
Kane was unable to get on the scoresheet in any of England’s opening Euro 2020 games against Croatia, Scotland, and Czech Republic.
It was against Germany that the striker opened his goalscoring account in the tournament, and he has not looked back since.
Having found the back of the net four times in total so far, the Three Lions skipper is now in contention to beat Cristiano Ronaldo in the Euro Golden Boot race.
“We know how they can bring difficulties for us, so we’ll need to pay a lot of attention to the pace, and to the quickness of their forwards like Harry Kane and others,” Bonucci said from Italy’s training base in Coverciano, Florence ahead of the Euro 2020 final.
“Kane is a very famous player, he’s been doing very well at Tottenham, for the national team and he’s one of the best strikers in the world.
“In our last three matches we’ve had the chance to meet three of the best forwards in the world, and the plan is to do better and not let anything go in any moment of the game.”
