Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci has sent out an apology message to the fans after their shock 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina on Tuesday night.

Leonardo Bonucci has dubbed the 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina as Juventus’ worst performance of the season so far.

The Bianconeri suffered their first Serie A defeat of the season and also missed out on the chance to close the gap on Inter and AC Milan at the top.

An early goal in the first half and two goals within five minutes in the second period saw Juve suffer their biggest loss since moving to the Allianz Stadium in 2011.

Bonucci had a game to forget and was even suspect in all three of his side’s goals conceded.

It was uncharacteristic of the veteran defender such that Pirlo had to jump in defence of the 33-year-old post-match.

In similar fashion, Bonucci has now sent out a message apologizing to fans for his poor showing.

“The worst Juventus of this first part of the season” he posted on Instagram.

“I apologise to the fans on my behalf, first of all.”

“There’s nothing more to add”
