Reports in Germany claim that Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has tested positive for coronavirus.

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now expected to miss his side’s Club World Cup final against Tigres.

According to Sky Germany, his results came following a test after training on Wednesday.

FIFA is yet to officially confirm the result but it is now likely Muller could miss Bayern’s upcoming Champions League game with Lazio as well.

The 31-year-old joins teammates Javi Martinez and Leon Goretzka in testing positive for the coronavirus.

In the Club World Cup final, Jamal Musiala should be expected to take Muller’s place at the heartbeat of this Bayern side in CAM.

Bayern will now be hoping Muller is not out for too long and can return a negative test soon enough.

After Lewandowski, the German has the most goal contributions for Bayern this term, scoring 13 goals and recording 14 assists across 31 appearances in all competitions.
