The World Cup participants will make their last adjustments to prepare for the Qatar tournament.

With the 2022 World Cup being only days away, most teams are eager to start their short preparation window as soon as possible.

Club football in Europe will continue until November 13, only a week before the tournament’s kick-off.

Several national teams have already confirmed their plans for late friendlies, while the likes of France and England have decided against arranging such matches.

The majority of the friendlies will take place between November 16 and 18. But, a few teams, such as Saudi Arabia, have paused their national leagues sooner to have a longer preparation time.

Let’s take a look at some of the more exciting friendly games before the tournament.

Oman vs. Germany

Germany will travel to Oman for a short preparation campaign just before the World Cup.

Saudia Arabia vs. Croatia

Saudi Arabia prepare to meet Argentina in their tournament opener, while Croatia must lock horns with Morocco.

Belgium vs. Egypt

Egypt has become favourite opponents for World Cup teams ahead of the tournament.

Mohamed Salah and co couldn’t secure a place in the tournament. But they have a chance to face one of the title favourites on November 18.

Portugal vs. Nigeria

Nigeria is another major African absentee from the Qatar games.

But given Cristiano Ronaldo’s massive fan base in Nigeria, the Super Eagles will try their best to challenge Portugal just before the tournament.

Jordan vs. Spain

La Roja’s star-studded squad will have one last preparation game before their tournament opener against Costa Rica.
