Ahead of the Euro 2021, Karim Benzema opened up about his relationship with Kylian Mbappe in the French National Team.

Everybody at Real Madrid is carefully watching how the Karim Benzema/Kylian Mbappe relationship develops with France. For many Madridistas, the striker is the key to convince Mbappe about going to the Spanish capital. All this month together will serve as perfect opportunity for them to create a strong bond off and on the pitch. In fact, they’ve already hit it off during training sessions. Benzema won’t leave Mbappe’s side at all times when they are working.

We already saw how exciting Kylian was for getting Karim back at the French National Team after such a long time. Now that they are playing together, Benzema himself wanted to talk about the relationship he has with the youngster. In many ways, Mbappe has a new mentor who can help him improve even further than he already has. He also discussed the fact that many clubs are trying to sign him in the summer transfer window. However, Benzema was questioned about several topics related to his club and country.

Benzema is happy to play for France again.

During a recent interview on Marca, Karim Benzema was shown happy for returning to his national team. Despite getting booted off the team more than five years ago, the Real Madrid striker was forgiven by Didier Deschamps for his problems off the pitch. But first, he responded questions about Mbappe’s possible switch to Spain this summer: “Kylian is a young player with immense quality and a good lad. He would obviously be welcome at Real Madrid.

“But which club would hesitate to sign him? For now, he has a contract with PSG and we’ll see what he decides. Today, winning the Euro is our top priority. I feel like the happiest man in the world right now. What makes me happy is my family and playing football. I’ve always been happy playing at Real Madrid and now I’m back with France to play the Euros. I can only be proud, happy, and eager to start the tournament.”
