King Power Stadium in Heverlee was the place where Belgium got a visit from Wales in a World Cup Qualifier. We got the player ratings.

With an injured Eden Hazard, Belgium wanted to defend their throne against Wales this evening in the first World Cup Qualifier. They are currently at the top of the FIFA Rankings but they need to remain consistent if they want to continue with this trend. Roberto Martinez knew he had a good chance to win against Wales this evening, even without his best player.

That is because the Belgian National Team has many more incredible stars who can perform just as well as the Real Madrid outcast. Today, the Red Devils responded perfectly to an initial work of art created by the Welsh squad. It was a wonderful team effort in which Gareth Bale provided the assist for Wilson. But that only got the Belgian squad all fired up for the rest of the 90 minutes.

De Bruyne paves the way for Belgium.

It took the locals 12 minutes to respond to Wales’ initial goal through an authentic screamer from Kevin De Bruyne. After that, Thorgan Hazard reminded us he also has some skill with a header that gave Belgium the victory. All of this happened during the first half, but we still missed a goal from the team’s top scorer. Romelu Lukaku got his chance from the spot and he didn’t miss.

Belgium got awarded a penalty that gave them even more room to breathe and get that victory against Wales. Up next, Wales has a friendly match against Mexico and Belgium will continue the qualifiers against the Czech Republic. So far, the Red Devils remain as one of the world’s most impressive national teams.
