Lukaku continued his red-hot goalscoring streak as Red Devils record a comprehensive victory in their Euro curtain-raiser.
Belgium kicked off their Euro 2020 campaign in style as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Russia on Saturday.
Although not really managing to hit full gear, likely owing to the absence of two of their key players in Kevin De Bruyne and Axel Witsel, Belgium remained in control of the match throughout 90 minutes of action.
Romelu Lukaku bagged a brace, scoring his side’s first goal by pouncing on a mistake by Andrey Semenov and their final one with a right-footed shot at the near post.
Sandwiched between the Inter Milan striker’s brace was an effort by Thomas Meunier, who fired home from 10 yards out after Anton Shunin failed to hold a cross.
A better goal difference than Finland, who also sealed all three points in their opening match on Saturday, helps Belgium rise to the top of Euro 2020 Group B.
