Marcus Rashford has chosen who he would pick to take a free-kick between the two Manchester United legends.

Cristiano Ronaldo would be Marcus Rashford’s No.1 pick as a free-kick taker over David Beckham.

The Manchester United forward was tasked with choosing who he would pick in a dead-ball situation between the Red Devils legends and unsurprisingly picked Ronaldo as the man for the job.

“I would say Ronaldo, as I’ve seen more of him in my era and my generation,” Rashford told the club’s website.

“But then at the same time, I’ve watched clips of Beckham and I remember, when I was really young, I used to watch him at Salford, at the Cliff, practicing his technique really.”

Of course, Rashford’s free-kick technique is like his idol Ronaldo in how he favors the knuckleball style.

Beckham, meanwhile, became famed for his free-kick ability during his career. The former midfielder shot to stardom by mastering the ‘banana curve’ shot. He even inspired a film called: ‘Bend it like Beckham’ in 2002.

Rashford concluded: “They are both top free-kick takers, so I’d probably choose Ronaldo, purely based on the fact I just got to see it live more.”
