David Beckham has targeted one of Manchester United’s legends to take on the role of lead manager at this MLS team Inter Miami.

Inter Miami has fallen short of expectations for their debut season in the MLS. Although they managed to reach the league playoffs, Inter Miami suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Nashville SC. With the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi on their roster, the young team’s fans were hoping the club would reach higher flights.

As they prepare for the next season, Diego Alonso’s future at the club has been highly questioned. Penarol have also been in talks with Alonso to secure his move back to Uruguay.

David Beckham has reportedly already begun searching for a substitute. In fact, he has found the ideal replacement in former Manchester United teammate Phil Neville. According to Sky Sports, Inter Miami have already initiated talks with the current England Women’s team boss.

Phil Neville is set to leave his current job in six months after the Women’s European Championship was postponed to 2022. Therefore, he will be available to take on another managerial role very soon. Neville led England to the World Cup semi-finals back in 2019.
