The Polish striker has confirmed he will not extend his contract at Allianz Arena.

Former Bayern defender Jerome Boateng has tipped the Bavarians to sign Harry Kane if they sell Robert Lewandowski this summer.

Lewandowski stated he will not extend his stay at Allianz Arena beyond his current deal, which runs until the next summer.

Several sources have reported the Polish striker is forcing the Bavarians to accept Barcelona‘s bid to sign him. A potential move will end Lewa’s stay at Bayern after eight years.

Bayern have reportedly started their efforts to find a replacement for the veteran striker. While the Bavarians are mostly linked with young stars, Boateng believes a move for Harry Kane makes sense for his former club.

“Personally, I would try to get Harry Kane [for] Bayern right away,” Boateng told Sky Sport Germany when asked who must replace Lewandowski.

“This is my opinion. For me, this is a complete striker who scores goals every day at Tottenham, in a very good but not world-class team.

“If he plays in a team like Bayern, then I think he’s a great replacement at a very good footballing age. That’s up to Bayern Munich.”

Bayern chiefs have repeatedly stated that Lewandowski would fulfil his contract at the club. Let’s see if a potential offer from Barca in the coming weeks can change their minds.
