The Bavarians maintained their perfect record in the Champions League despite failing to keep a clean sheet.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has insisted the Bavarians should stop “letting the opponents back into the game”.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side came into their Champions League game against Viktoria Plzen on the back of a 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund.

A thrilling Der Klassiker saw the Bavarians get ahead 2-0 through Leon Goretzka and Leroy Sane’s goals. However, their arch-rivals managed to pull off a late comeback, snatching an equalizer through Anthony Modeste in the 95th minute.

Bayern started the game against Viktoria Plzen with a similar approach. A brilliant start to the game saw Nagelsmann’s side get ahead 4-0 before halftime.

But the hosts got back into the game by scoring twice in the second period. Bayern managed to hold on to their two-goal lead, staying at the top of UCL’s “Group of Death”.

However, Kahn believes they must see out games before the opponents find chances to come back.

“Four games, four wins and into the round of 16,” Kahn wrote on Twitter after the game. “A compliment to the team, in this group that was not a matter of course.

“After a furious first half, we let the opponent come back into the game.

“We absolutely have to stop this!”
