The Parisians are looking to pull off a comeback at Allianz Arena to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

Paris Saint-Germain might have to play without Neymar in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash against Bayern Munich.

The Brazilian forward suffered an ankle injury during PSG’s 4-3 win over Lille on Sunday. A challenge with Benjamin Andre saw Neymar leave the pitch on a stretcher, causing major concern for PSG fans.

The French giants have now confirmed the forward hasn’t suffered a complete ligament fracture. However, partial damage to the 31-year-old’s ankle might still rule him out of PSG’s upcoming UCL clash against Bayern.

The club will run further tests on Neymar next week to determine a timeframe for his return.

According to French sources, the PSG star might stay sidelined for up to eight weeks. In this case, he won’t be back in time for his side’s clash against Bayern on March 8.

Neymar wasn’t able to score against Bayern in the first leg as the Bavarians clinched a 1-0 victory at Parc des Princes. His possible absence will be a major squad blow for PSG, who hope to come back from behind at Allianz Arena.

Before then, however, Neymar’s teammates will have to face Marseille in a crucial Ligue 1 clash on Sunday.
