The new Bayern manager is ready to start his job after a shock mid-season transfer.

Thomas Tuchel is eager to push for a treble in his first season at Bayern Munich.

The German giants announced their shock decision to sack Julian Nagelsmann on Friday. A day later, the club introduced Tuchel as their new manager, giving him a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Speaking in his first press conference at Bayern, the former Chelsea manager said: “The position that Julian created with the team, that we have a chance of winning the title in all three competitions, has to be exploited. Of course there are also risks involved. But we love the pressure and the stress.

“My love for the game is way bigger than the concerns. It’s about approaching the task with confidence and we want to compete for all three titles.”

Bayern’s inconsistent performance in Bundesliga was one of the main reasons behind Nagelsmann’s surprise sacking. In his first game in charge of the German giants, Tuchel must face Borussia Dortmund, who sit one point above Bayern on the league table.

“The challenge of starting directly with the game against Dortmund cannot be higher,” Nagelsmann added.

“It’s the biggest game in German football. It has taken on a new explosive dimension due to our deficit in the table and BVB’s extraordinary run. I’m looking forward to it.”
