Noussair Mazraoui’s participation in AFCON has opened up a space in Bayern Munich’s backline ahead of the January transfer window.
Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a winter move for West Ham’s Thilo Kehrer.
Since his departure from PSG, Kehrer has struggled to rediscover his form. Despite being desired by Thomas Tuchel and making the move from Schalke 04, the young German defender failed to make a significant impact in France. Even after his transfer to the Premier League with West Ham, his fortunes have not improved. It now seems that Kehrer’s profile has caught the attention of Rennes, Nice, and Monaco, with all three French clubs considering making a move this January.
However, the competition for Kehrer’s signature extends beyond France. According to Foot Mercato, the versatile central defender has attracted interest from German giants Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga powerhouse, currently grappling with defensive injuries, is keen to bolster its ranks in the winter transfer window. Notably, this interest in Kehrer is a personal preference of manager Thomas Tuchel, who had previously brought him to Paris and now wishes to reunite with him at Bayern Munich. Tuchel is expected to engage in discussions with the 27-year-old player to persuade him to make the move to the Bundesliga.
