According to a recent report, Bayern Munich star David Alaba could be interested in the idea of a move to the Premier League.

David Alaba is reportedly open to a Premier League move once his Bayern Munich contract expires.

The player has rejected a new deal in Germany as he decides on the next part of his career.

His current contract expires in June 2021, meaning he can talk to interested clubs from January.

Man City and Liverpool are two of the main clubs believed to be interested. They’ve now received a boost in their pursuit of Alaba.

According to 90Min, Alaba is open to a Premier League move after previously ruling it out.

The news means City and Liverpool officials will be preparing offers to lure the defender to their respective clubs.

Signing Alaba would be a huge boost for either City or Liverpool in the future. The Austrian international is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the world.

As per the report, he is set to hold talks with potential suitors in January under the Bosman contract ruling.

Alaba could then be allowed to move in the summer of 2021.

His contract demands would likely be huge, but it’s surely a price either club would be willing to pay.

Alaba could also provide Liverpool with a major defensive boost following the loss of Virgil Van Dijk. The Reds have lost their key man after an anterior cruciate ligament injury and will no doubt consider any reinforcements in that department.
