The Bavarians are preparing for their first transfer window under Thomas Tuchel.
Benjamin Pavard will reportedly leave Bayern Munich in the summer amid interest from Barcelona and Inter.
Since joining Bayern from Stuttgart in 2019, Pavard has remained a key part of the team’s backline. Despite the arrivals of Noussair Mazraoui and Joao Cancelo, the Frenchman made 30 Bundesliga appearances this season, helping his side win their 11th consecutive league title.
However, Pavard’s time at Bayern seem to be over as he enters the final year of his current contract. According to Fabrizio Romano, the versatile defender has decided against signing a new deal at Allianz Arena.
Pavard has emerged as a possible option for Barcelona. However, the Sky Sports journalist claims the Catalan side have “different priorities”.
At the moment, the hottest topic surrounding Barca’s transfer window is the possible return of Lionel Messi. But the club’s financial problems have prevented them from sealing a transfer for the club legend.
This could open up an opportunity for Inter, who have expressed their interest in Pavard in the past. Milan Skriniar’s possible move to Paris Saint-Germain could intensify Inter’s search for a new defender.
According to Gazzetta.it, the Nerazzurri could make a €20 million offer for Pavard.
