The Bavarians hope to tie down one of their most promising youngsters to a new contract.

Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing a contract extension for Jamal Musiala as Real Madrid consider a move for Alphonso Davies.

Musiala has established a reputation as one of the most promising young forwards in Europe this season. His performances have earned him a regular spot in both Bayern and Germany’s lineups.

The club are now preparing to offer the teenager a new long-term deal despite his current deal running until 2026.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Bavarians are keen to sign an improved contract with Musiala “as soon as possible”.

Another transfer goal for Bayern’s hierarchy is to extend the contracts of Lucas Hernandez and Alphonso Davies.

Hernandez, who is out with an ACL injury, is reportedly close to signing a new deal at Allianz Arena. But interest from Real Madrid has complicated negotiations with Davies.

According to El Nacional, the Canadian left-back has become one of Real Madrid’s priority transfers for the next summer. Davies’ contract expires in 2025, but Bayern are eager to keep him at the club by offering him a new deal this winter.

The Bavarians are also continuing their efforts to find a replacement for Manuel Neuer. The Germany No.1 broke his leg during the holidays, leaving the club in a difficult position ahead of their return to the Champions League.

Bayern hoped to find a quick solution by retuning Alexander Nubel from his loan deal at Monaco. However, negotiations between the two sides have “come to a halt”, according to L’Equipe.

Monaco are struggling to find a replacement for Nubel. On the other hand, the young keeper demands regular playing time at Bayern even after Neuer’s return next season.
