Bayern Munich and France national team will miss out on their important midfielder due to a major injury problem.
Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso will potentially miss the rest of the season along with France’s Euro 2020 campaign. Sadly, he tore a tendon in his left thigh during a training session this week.
The 26-year-old pulled the muscle during a regular practice with the German champions on Thursday. Tolisso suffered from the injury while attempting a shot on target. And this means that he will out on the bench for the next six months.
The France international has participated in 14 games this season in the Bundesliga. Even though he has been rotated by Hansi Flick, the midfielder remains a crucial part of the plans at Allianz Arena.
Flick spoke about Tolisso ahead of their clash with Eintracht Frankfurt. “I’m very sorry for Coco,” said Flick. “We expect him to be out for at least three months.”
“I hope the operation went well. We were all shocked; he limped off the pitch and was in tremendous pain.”
“In recent games, Coco has again shown his quality, and I’m more than impressed by him. He’ll be given all the time he needs and he has our full support.”
