The Bavarians are continuing their search for a new keeper.
Bayern Munich are reportedly keen to sign David Raya to their ranks.
Raya has emerged as one of the most promising goalkeepers in the Premier League after his incredible displays for Brentford. His performances have attracted interest from Bayern, who are keen to find a long-term replacement for Manuel Neuer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Raya is one of Bayern’s main goalkeeping options. However, the Sky Sports journalist has claimed the deal “won’t be easy” due to Brentford’s demands for the Spaniard.
The Bees valuation of Gaya is around £40m, a figure that could be too much for Bayern amid their efforts to sign Harry Kane.
Bayern have started their efforts to sign a new keeper since the start of the summer transfer window. Alexander Nubel, who returned from a two-year loan at Monaco, was sent to Stuttgart for a new loan spell. On the other hand, Inter are close to completing a move for Yann Sommer, who joined the Bundesliga giants after Manuel Neuer’s injury last winter.
In addition to Gaya, Bayern have been linked with a move for Sevilla’s Yassine Bounou. However, the Moroccan international’s €20m price tag makes him an expensive plan B for the Bavarians.
