The Bavarians are preparing for the potential departures of Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry.

Bayern Munich have stepped up their efforts to sign Sadio Mane ahead of the next season.

The Liverpool forward is entering the final 12 months of his current deal, with no signs of a contract extension being imminent.

On the other hand, Bayern themselves are struggling to extend Serge Gnabry’s contract while Robert Lewandowski has already announced he will not sign a new deal.

According to German outlet Bild, Sadio Mane is a ‘top-priority target’ for Bayern Munich at the moment.

The Bavarians have reportedly started their negotiations with Mane’s representatives as part of their plans for the upcoming transfer window.

Barcelona have been pushing to complete a move for Lewandowski in recent weeks. However, Bild claims Bayern are planning to have both Lewandowski and Mane in their squad for the next season.

However, the move will most likely decrease the club’s chances of keeping Gnabry at Allianz Arena. The player is a year away from his contract expiration, with Bayern trying to avoid a free departure.

When asked about a possible move away from Liverpool, Mane responded: “I think the question is a very good question. For now, it’ll be difficult for me to answer.

“But for sure, I’m very focused on the Champions League.

“Ask me the question after the Champions League, I will answer you.”
