Thomas Tuchel claims his first trophy at Bayern after a last-minute winner from Jamal Musiala.

Bayern Munich defeated Koln 2-1 to win their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title. Borussia Dortmund’s 2-1 defeat against Mainz allowed the Bavarians to leapfrog them from the top of the table in the final minutes of the season.

Title race drama!

Dortmund came into the final matchday of the season as the clear favourites to win the Meisterschale. But it didn’t take long before things started going south for the Black and Yellows.

Kingsley Coman rifled an unstoppable shot into the top-right corner of Koln’s net to put Bayern ahead in the eighth minute. But what happened at Signal Iduna Park a few minutes later saw Bayern fans erupt in rapture.

Mainz scored twice in the span of nine minutes as Dortmund went behind in their own stadium. Bayern went to the top of the table, but fans stayed on the edge of their seat as Koln forced Yann Sommer to make a host of spectacular saves throughout the first period.

Dortmund finally managed to pull one back through Raphael Guerrero but that wasn’t enough to win them the title. Elsewhere, Bayern were pushing to double their lead but were left stunned when Koln sent Dortmund back to the top of the table with an 81st-minute penalty.

Dortmund seemed to be on their way to securing the title, but the title race saw another unexpected twist minutes later. Jamal Musiala completed his wonderful campaign by scoring Bayern’s title-winning goal at the Rhein Energie Stadium.

The 20-year-old latched onto the ball on the edge of the box before unleashing a perfect low shot into the bottom-left corner of the net.

Dortmund managed to find a late equalizer through Niklas Sule but stayed at the second spot on the table due to their goal difference.

Bayern’s win over Koln was enough to secure their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title. Let’s see if the dramatic victory reduces the pressure on the club’s under-fire hierarchy.
