Let’s take a look at the Player Ratings of the Champions League Group A match between Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

The “red machine” began their campaign with yet another win to defend their title.

Bayern Munich defeated Atletico Madrid 4-0 in the opening fixture of the Champions League Group A.

Evidently, this was a one-sided show at Allianz Arena following the Bavarian‘s dominance over the Spanish side.

Subsequently, Bayern won their first tournament fixture after 59 days from the victory in the final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Moreover, Hansi Flick’s side faced Diego Simeone’s defensive giants. This seemed like an issue for the German club. Although, Bayern made it very clear that nothing is going to stop them from winning.

Furthermore, Atletico started with a brilliant performance in the early stages of the match. However, Bayern struck following Joshua Kimmich’s cross to Kingsley Coman.

The France international’s sublime first touch helped him slot it past Jan Oblak in the 28th minute.

Just before the halftime, Leon Goretzka’s fantastic strike added a two-goal cushion for Bayern.

In turn of events, Joao Felix’s sweet volley went past Manuel Neuer. However, the officials ruled it out due to offside from Luis Suarez. The former Barca man obstructed Neuer’s view.

Nevertheless, Atletico put some pressure on the Flick’s side in the second half following attempts from Yannick Carrasco. Although, Corentin Tolisso silenced the Atletico eleven with his 25-yard banger.

Finally, Coman displayed some quick feet while chasing Thomas Muller’s through-ball. The Frenchman danced his way past defenders to wrap it up for Bayern.
