The Bavarians were crowned Bundesliga champions after beating their arch-rivals at Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich defeated Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker on Saturday. The Bavarians won the league title with a dominant performance on home soil.

Bayern started the game by storming Dortmund’s backline for an early breakthrough. Following a half-cleared corner, Serge Gnabry scored a smashed a powerful strike past Marwin Hitz to put Bayern ahead in the 15th minute.
The hosts continued their attacks after the opener, putting pressure on Dortmund’s backline with long passes. Gnabry thought he had completed his brace just before the half-hour mark, but VAR disallowed his goal for being offside.
That did not stop Bayern from doubling their lead four minutes later, with Robert Lewandowski scoring his 33rd Bundesliga goal of the season.
Dortmund showed clear signs of improvement as soon as the second period started. Following a foul by Joshua Kimmich, the Black and Yellows found a chance to get back into the game by converting a penalty. Emre Can stepped up to score the spot-kick, making it 2-1 for the guests.
However, Dortmund were not able to build on their goal and remained in their own half for most of the second period. A goal from Jamal Musiala then secured the victory for Bayern in the 83rd minute.
The 3-1 win was enough to secure Bayern’s defence of the league title. The Bavarians won their tenth league title in a row as they sit at the top of the league table with 75 points from their 31 fixtures.
What’s next for Bayern?
Having already been eliminated from the Champions League and DFB Pokal, Bayern don’t have a trophy to fight for anymore.
The Bavarians will face Mainz in their next league game on Saturday. Let’s see if winning the league title is enough to ease the pressure on Julian Nagelsmann from German media.
