The Bavarians restarted their Bundesliga campaign with an easy win over Hoffenheim.

Bayern Munich defeated Hoffenheim 3-0 in their Bundesliga match on Friday. The German giants paid tribute to Franz Beckenbauer in their first match after the football legend’s passing.

What happened?

A fast-paced start to the game saw Bayern putting their opponents under pressure to get an early opener. The hosts’ efforts paid off when Jamal Musiala put them ahead with a spectacular low shot in the 18th minute. Bayern stayed in charge of the game throughout the first period but couldn’t convert their chances to kill the game off.

After the break, Hoffenheim made a few efforts to get back into the game. But another brilliant goal from Musiala doubled Bayern’s lead in the 70th minute. Hoffenheim’s hopes of escaping the defeat took another blow when Grischa Promel was sent off with a second yellow card four minutes later.

As customary with Bayern matches this season, the game just couldn’t finish without Harry Kane finding the back of the net. The English superstar latched onto a through ball from Leon Goretzka in the 90th minute before making it 3-0 with a powerful strike.

Bayern vs Hoffenheim: Man of the Match

Musiala made another excellent display for Bayern as they smashed Hoffenheim at Allianz Arena. In addition to scoring a brace, Musiala’s skills and his constant progressive movements played a key role in opening up Hoffenheim’s compact defensive line.
