An underwhelming home draw sees Bayern’s lead at the top of the table shrink to one point.

Eintracht Frankfurt held Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw in their Bundesliga game on Saturday. Bayern have drawn all three of their post-World Cup games with a similar result.

Kolo Muani strikes again!

Bayern struggled to find their feet in the game early on while Eintracht pushed for a quick breakthrough.

The Bavarians gradually increased the pressure on Eintracht’s backline as the first period went on. Following a few half-chances, Leroy Sane finally made it 1-0 for the hosts.

A brilliant cutback from Thomas Muller found Sane, who smashed the ball past Kevin Trapp with a powerful low shot.

The goal increased Bayern’s confidence, but Julian Nagelsmann’s side failed to double their lead before half-time.

Eintracht intensified their pressing in the second period while Bayern became more conservative in their attacks. The Bavarians rarely found any chance to score before Randal Kolo Muani stunned them with an equalizer.

The Frenchman scored in his first game for Eintracht when they met Bayern earlier this season. He found the back of the net again as he defeated Yann Sommer from a tight angle.

The hosts made a few more attempts to restore their lead in the final 20 minutes. But their attacking line was too disorganized to create enough pressure on Eintracht’s defence.

Union Berlin is now only one point away from the Bundesliga champions at the top of the table. Bayern will face Mainz in the DFB Pokal on Wednesday before meeting Wolfsburg in their next Bundesliga game.
