The West Ham star has attracted interest from a number of elite clubs in recent clubs.

Arsenal are reportedly hesitant to meet West Ham’s asking price for Declan Rice amid interest from Bayern Munich.

Rice’s fantastic performances for the Hammers have established his reputation as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

Bayern Munich and Arsenal have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Rice ahead of the next season. However, the Gunners could pull out of the transfer race and search for a cheaper option.

According to 90min, West Ham have put a £100m price tag on Rice, which is around £10m higher than Arsenal’s valuation of the England international.

The Gunners are reportedly hoping to complete a deal by paying £80m plus add-ons. But West Ham hope to spark a bidding war between Rice’s many suitors and possibly break the league’s transfer record.

Bayern Munich have fallen behind Arsenal in the transfer race due to Rice’s reported interest in continuing his career in the Premier League. However, Thomas Tuchel’s desire to have the player in in his squad could convince the Bayern hierarchy to break the bank for the 24-year-old.

In addition to Bayern and Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United have shown interest in signing Rice. However, no club have so far submitted a formal bid for the England international.
