A big decision awaits on the German star’s future as rumored interest from Premier League side Chelsea grows.
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge plans to hold talks with Niklas Sule in the summer to decide the center-back’s future.
Sule, who has been on Bayern’s books since 2017, will be out of contract in the summer of 2022. Reports have stated Bayern are yet to offer him an extension. Dayot Upamecano’s arrival from RB Leipzig in the summer, meanwhile, has only intensified doubts due to greater depth of competition for next season.

These events have naturally alerted potential suitors over a possible transfer for Sule. Chelsea, for one, are among them with their new manager Thomas Tuchel allegedly ‘very keen’ on a deal.
“We want the good German national team players at FC Bayern. Niklas still has one year of the contract,” Rummenigge told ZDF.
“We will hold talks and see where they’ll lead. We will look at the whole thing seriously & calmly by the summer.
“Corona (COVID-19 pandemic) has also caused financial damage to FC Bayern.
“If we find a solution, we are happy to extend the contract, but that will only be possible under certain conditions.”
Sule has made 25 appearances in all competitions for Bayern this season, including 15 in the Bundesliga.
