The 26-year-old was on loan with the Eagles in 2019 where he scored six goals in 13 apperances.

His contract was set to run out in the summer of 2021 and the forward has now signed a one-year extension with Chelsea.

Just immediately, Batshauyi will also return to Selhurst Park to battle it out for gametime upfront.

Chelsea initially announced the deal via a statement on their website. Palace were also sure to do the same minutes later .

In his first words after re-joining Palace, Batshuayi said via the club’s website: “First, hello everyone, it’s a pleasure [to be back] – I’m very happy.”

“I had a lot of other clubs [interested] but my head is here, so everything is right and happy now. I’m happy, the coach is happy, the teammates are happy. So let’s get to work.”
