Barcelona and Juventus will lock horns in the annual Joan Gamper Trophy exhibition on Sunday night in Catalonia.

Both the men’s and women’s sides of the two clubs will meet for a double-header at Camp Nou. The 99,354-seater stadium could be at 20% capacity, meaning around 19,869 fans may be in attendance.

The Barcelona and Juventus women’s teams will kick off the event at 18:00 (CET) that evening before the men’s match begins at 21:30 (CET).

FC Barcelona Team News & XI

Lionel Messi’s sudden departure has rocked Barcelona ahead of their final pre-season fixture, leaving them short on firepower to face Juventus and possibly for the entire 2021/22 campaign.

Pedri, Eric Garcia, and Oscar Mingueza are out as they have been representing Spain in the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Ilaix Moriba, whose contract talks with Barcelona have stalled, and Sergio Aguero (calf injury) are also unavailable.

But Philippe Coutinho has made the squad after overcoming injury problems.

Predicted Line-up (4-3-3)

Juventus Team News & XI

Cristiano Ronaldo has made Juventus’ 23-man squad for the Joan Gamper Trophy showdown. Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, Federico Bernardeschi, and Federico Chiesa have also returned.

But Paulo Dybala is again absent despite returning to training after a muscle injury. Massimiliano Allegri has decided to play it safe by leaving the Argentine out of the match. The Juventus boss wants him to continue training over in Turin for now.

Predicted Line-up (4-3-3)
