A victory would see the Catalan giants leapfrog Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid and climb to the summit of the league table.

FC Barcelona play host to Granada at Camp Nou on Thursday for their 33rd fixture of the La Liga season.

Barcelona currently sit at third in the La Liga table, level on points with second-placed Real Madrid and two points behind leaders Atletico Madrid having played one game fewer than both sides.

Three points tonight will not only take them above both the title contenders but also establish a two-point lead over Atletico.

As for Granada, they occupy the eight place in the table and will stay there irrespective of the tonight’s result.

Barcelona vs Granada Form

The Catalan giants have been in sensational form since the turn of the year, registering 15 victories in their 17 league matches in 2021 with their only defeat coming against titleholders and arch-rivals Real Madrid.

They grabbed a narrow 2-1 win against Villarreal past weekend and will now be hoping to extend their winning streak to four games.

Copa de Rey success is also relatively fresh on the minds of the Barca players, who thrashed Athletic Club 4-0 to lift their 31st domestic cup.

The Nazaries dealt another blow to hopes of securing European footfall for a second successive season on Sunday when they lost 2-1 to Sevilla.

Diego Martinez’s side certainly are not in the right form going into the match, having managed just two wins in their last eight fixtures in all competitions.

Barcelona vs Granada Head-to-head

Ronald Koeman’s side maintain a spotless record against their upcoming opponents with 24 wins in La Liga 24 meetings. Barca thumped Granada 4-0 in the previous encounter on January 9.
