Barcelona made a flying start, with Sergi Roberto handing them the lead just 90 seconds after kick-off. Jordi Alba drilled in a low cross across the face of goal, and his full-back partner was at the right place at the right time to slot home from close range.
Getafe responded in style as Sandro Ramirez, after playing a neat one-two with Carlos Alena, unleashed a powerful strike from 18 yards out that flew beyond Marc Andre ter Stegen and into the bottom left corner of the net.
Memphis Depay helped the Blaugrana take a point in their previous La Liga outing, and he ensured they get all three this time. The Dutchman put his side on the front foot at the half-hour mark with a fine finish that turned out to be the winning goal.
