The Catalans are in a rush to add two new players to their ranks before the transfer window closes.
Barcelona are on the verge of signing Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo on loan deals.
The Catalans have already added Oriol Romeu, Ilkay Gundogan, and Inigo Martinez to their ranks this summer. However, they still have a lot to do in the final hours of the transfer window.
Barca are yet to finalize a move for Cancelo, who has reportedly arrived in Spain to complete his medical. The Portugal international leaves Manchester City on a loan deal, with Barca having an option to sign him permanently next summer.
Earlier on Friday, reports emerged of Bayern Munich’s interest in signing Cancelo. However, the player is determined to join the Spanish champions before midnight.
Barcelona have also reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Joao Felix on a loan deal.
According to Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, the 23-year-old is on his way to join the Catalans on the transfer window’s deadline day. Barca will reportedly pay a loan fee of €8m while also covering his full salary.
Both Felix and Cancelo hope to rediscover their sparks at Barcelona after difficult spells at their previous clubs. Cancelo fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola at City, while Felix has been pushing to leave Atletico Madrid since returning from his loan deal at Chelsea.
